​Application for approval to act as Administrator or Liquidator for a club​


Applications to approve an insolvency practitioner to act as an administrator, liquidator or other certain capacities of a registered club needs to be made in writing to the Chair of the Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority.   

Other certain capacities can include: controller of property, official manager, receiver or manager, member of the committee of management, or special manager. 

​The application should be made in writing and submitted via email to ilga.secretariat@justice.nsw.gov.au to enable a timely consideration of the matter​.

The application should be made in the form of a letter addressed to the Chair of the Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority Board and include the following:

  • Evidence that the club consents to the appointment of an Administrator
  • Provide a statutory declaration made by the proposed Administrator, that includes professional qualifications and summary of previous experience
  • Evidence that the clubs financial situation warrants the appointment of an Administrator e.g. the letter should address all aspects of section 5 in the Guideline document listed below.
