This area has more than 1,300 licensed venues with particular licensing conditions, such as 1.30am lockouts, 3am last drinks and no glass containers during late trading hours.
Half hour live entertainment exemptionThis allows licensees of live entertinament venues to apply for an exemption to the lock out and last drinks conditions that will allow a later lock out time of 2am and last drinks of 3.30am. More information is available on our website.

New Year's Eve is unique, so the lock outs on licensed venues across the Sydney CBD precinct does not apply. However, the 3am halt to alcohol service remains.
