​Emergency Relief Club Grants​​

Local organisations across the state can now apply for NSW Government grants up to $300,000 to fund infrastructure projects that help protect communities in emergencies such as bushfires, storms and floods.

Deputy Premier Troy Grant said Emergency Relief Infrastructure Grants support construction of new or upgraded facilities that make communities safer.

“These projects will help protect lives and property and support the often heroic efforts of our wonderful emergency services staff and volunteers in times of crisis,” Mr Grant said.

“Previously funded projects include a dam to supply water-bombing helicopters during bushfires, power generators and kitchens to help feed residents during emergencies.

“I encourage not-for-profit organisations across NSW to consider applying for a project that will make a real difference to their local community.”

A total of $2.5 million is available for emergency relief infrastructure projects in 2016/17 under the ClubGRANTS Category 3 Fund.

Over this term of government, around $50 million in ClubGRANTS is being provided to local communities in NSW to support infrastructure across three categories: sport and recreation, arts and culture and emergency relief facilities.

An applicant information pack is now available on the Liquor & Gaming NSW website with applications closing on Friday 7 October.

Applications will be assessed by the ClubGRANTS fund committee with successful projects announced in late 2016.

ClubGRANTS are funded through a rebate of 0.4 per cent of gaming machine profits over $1 million from the state’s registered clubs.​​
