During August, staff from licensed venues on the Mid North Coast attended free RSA for Frontline Staff workshops on liquor legislation and responsible service of alcohol.
Four workshops held in Port Macquarie and South West Rocks helped 279 hospitality workers to improve their customer service skills and avoid alcohol-related harm.
The two-hour sessions included how to measure and prevent intoxication, how to identify risk factors in venues and tips for detecting minors and fake IDs, as well as recent legislative changes.
The workshops were presented by Liquor & Gaming NSW in partnership with the Hastings, Macleay Valley and Nambucca Valley Liquor Accords.
Local liquor accords play a valuable role in bringing local communities together to promote the responsible service of alcohol and reduce alcohol-related harm.
