Review of the Local Impact Assessment (LIA) scheme

Liquor & Gaming NSW (L&GNSW) invites you to have your say on a review of the Local Impact Assessment (LIA) scheme under the Gaming Machines Act 2001 (the Act).

The LIA scheme assesses the impact of introducing additional gaming machines into a Local Government Area (LGA).

The review will evaluate whether the LIA scheme is effective in achieving the balanced development of the gaming industry and harm minimisation. It also aims to identify opportunities for improving the operation of the scheme.

A discussion paper is available to inform you about the review and provide you with questions to help you provide feedback about the scheme.
