Sport and Recreation Infrastructure Grants

The Sports and Recreation Infrastructure grants funding round is currently closed.  The focus of this round was on the development and enhancement of sport and recreation facilities.

Liquor & Gaming NSW invited shortlisted projects that support communities across NSW to engage in healthy lifestyles through increased participation in sport and recreational activities to apply.

What type of projects will be funded?
Funding was available for building, upgrading or the development of community sport and active recreation infrastructure facilities.  For example:

  • indoor and outdoor swimming pools
  • grandstands and other local sports ground facilities and indoor sports stadiums
  • community skate parks or BMX courses
  • velodromes and cycleways within a public recreation area
  • equestrian facilities
  • basketball, netball and tennis courts
  • hockey fields
  • children's play areas and parks
  • community gyms and sports clubs

Preference will be given to projects that are able to demonstrate they are ready to commence, with relevant planning and building approvals in place, and underway.
