Section 31 Investigations

Under section 31 of the Casino Control Act 1992, every five years, the Independent Liquor & Gaming Authority (ILGA) must investigate and form an opinion as to whether or not: (a) the casino operator is a suitable person to continue to give effect to the casino licence and this Act, and (b) it is in the public interest that the casino licence should continue in force.

If a restricted gaming licence is granted before 15 November 2019, the licence is, for the purposes of section 31, taken to be granted on this date.
