​Conditions:

The Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority (Authority) approved the application under s.34 of the Gaming Machines Act 2001 for gaming machine threshold increase of twenty (from 0 to 20) for The Governor, LIQH440018989.

The Authority has approved under section 36 of the Act the associated Local Impact Assessment (LIA), subject to the following conditions:

  1. By 31 December 2018 the licensee must provide evidence to the Independent Liquor & Gaming Authority that it has made a payment of $55,000.00 to the Lisa Harnum Foundation, to be used to employ a fulltime caseworker and to set up a Safe Room within Macquarie Park Shopping Centre;

  2. By 30 June 2019 the licensee must provide evidence to the Independent Liquor & Gaming Authority that it has made a payment of $246,875.56 to Macquarie University, for research on alcohol consumption;

  3. By 30 June 2019 the licensee must provide evidence to the Independent Liquor & Gaming Authority that it has provided at least $103,295.00 of in-kind funding for the Macquarie University for research; and

  4. By 31 December 2019 the licensee must provide evidence to the Independent Liquor & Gaming Authority that it has made a payment of $100,000.00 to Women's Community Shelters, to be used for the establishment of a new women's shelter in Ryde LGA.
