On 19 January 2018 a delegate of the Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority (Authority) approved the application under section 34 of the Gaming Machines Act 2001 (Act) for a gaming machine threshold increase of four (from 26 to 30) for Waterworks Hotel, LIQH400102070.

The Authority delegate has approved under section 36 of the Act the associated Local Impact Assessment (LIA), subject to the following conditions:

  1. The gaming machine entitlement transferred to Waterworks Hotel as a result of the approval of this gaming machine threshold increase application must be transferred from hotels located in Band 2 or Band 3 metropolitan Local Government Areas (LGAs).

  2. By 30 April 2018 Waterworks Hotel must provide evidence to the Independent Liquor & Gaming Authority that it has made a payment of $52,000, as an LIA contribution, to The Salvation Army Rockdale, to be used to as funding for The Salvation Army Rockdale Community Centre.
