Have your say on the Casino Control Regulation 2019

The Casino Control Regulation 2009 is due to expire on 1 September 2019. As part of the NSW Government’s ongoing commitment to the effective regulation of casinos, we propose that a new Regulation is made.

The proposed new Casino Control Regulation 2019 aims to effectively support the Casino Control Act 1992 through rigorous, transparent and risk-based regulatory practices.

The proposed Regulation also:

  • reflects relevant amendments made to the Liquor Act 2007 and Liquor Regulation 2018 since the expiring Regulation came into effect
  • streamlines the provisions of the expiring Regulation by reducing redundant clauses and updating the harm minimisation requirements.

Before the proposed Regulation can be made law, a formal consultation process must take place in line with the Subordinate Legislation Act 1989.

We welcome your feedback, which will be considered by Liquor & Gaming NSW before the proposed Regulation is finalised.
