New pool to make a splash at Narromine

A new purpose-built learn-to-swim pool will be built at Narromine Aquatic Centre, thanks to $300,000 in NSW Government funding.

The multi-use pool will provide a safe, fun, and accessible environment for learn-to-swim lessons, hydrotherapy and rehabilitation programs, aqua aerobics and water fitness classes.

The vision for this project was to create a place for people of all ages in the community to gather, socialise, learn and relax.

This grant will complement other projects that the NSW Government has co-invested alongside Narromine Shire Council at the pool precinct, enhancing water safety access for future generations in the Narromine and outlying communities.

The project is funded through the Clubgrants Category 3 Infrastructure Grants program.

More than $50 million in funding is being provided during this current term of government for projects across sport and recreation, emergency preparedness, and arts and culture.

These grants are funded by a contribution from the state’s registered clubs to reinvest profits from gaming machines back into community projects.
