Far North Coast licensed venue staff are invited to a series of four free workshops to find out all the latest information on liquor legislation.
Hosted by local Liquor Accords, the workshops at Tweed Heads, Murwillumbah, Mullumbimby and Byron Bay will help hospitality workers improve their customer service skills and work towards avoiding alcohol-related harm.
Topics covered in the 90-minute sessions include measures to prevent intoxication, identifying risk factors in venues and detecting minors and fake IDs. There will also be briefings on recent changes to the Liquor Act covering Three Strikes Legislation and Intoxication Guidelines.
Local Liquor Accords play a valuable role in bringing local communities together to promote responsible service of alcohol and reduce alcohol-related harm.
While the workshops are free, participants are asked to register to reserve a place.
