NSW Government introduces remaining liquor law reforms

New laws to support a safe and vibrant nightlife will be put in place in coming months following their passing by NSW Parliament on 24 May.

The reforms include improvements to the Three Strikes and Minors Sanctions disciplinary schemes for licensed venues.

Venues in the Sydney CBD and Kings Cross will benefit from changes that give them greater scope to refurbish and refresh.

These latest reforms follow last December's relaxation of trading hours for eligible live entertainment venues in the Sydney CBD and Kings Cross and later trading for takeaway alcohol outlets across NSW.

These reforms will further improve the way the industry is regulated, increase business certainty and viability, and help encourage venues to provide safe environments for patrons to enjoy.
