The NSW Government will receive the independent review of the state's liquor laws on 13 September following an extension request by the Hon. Ian Callinan AC.
This week, Mr Callinan formally requested the extension of less than two weeks to finalise his report.
He is awaiting further evidence and examining a recent Supreme Court decision regarding the lockouts.
The Government is committed to ensuring a comprehensive statutory review of the suite of laws brought in two years ago to tackle alcohol-fuelled violence.
Mr Callinan has received more than 1,800 public submissions and input resulting from three roundtables into Sydney's night-time economy.
