Casino reviews and investigations

The Independent Liquor & Gaming Authority (ILGA) conducts reviews, investigations and inquiries relating to casino licences and operations.

Under section 31 of the Casino Control Act 1992, every five years, the Independent Liquor & Gaming Authority (ILGA) must investigate and form an opinion as to whether

  • the casino operator is a suitable person to continue to give effect to the casino licence and this Act
  • it is in the public interest that the casino licence should continue in force.

If a restricted gaming licence is granted before 15 November 2019, the licence is, for the purposes of section 31, taken to be granted on this date.
