Hospitality venues on the Central Coast seeking to boost their business and learn how the NSW Government is supporting industry growth are invited to attend Hospitality and Racing’s Regulatory Roadshow on 22 July in Gosford.
Senior executives from Hospitality and Racing will host the free event at The Entertainment Grounds in West Gosford to update liquor licensees and other stakeholders on a range of issues, including the government’s liquor and gaming reforms and regulatory priorities.
The Regulatory Roadshow is open to industry participants from the Central Coast and aims to build closer ties between businesses across the region and government organisations.
Hospitality and Racing Deputy Secretary Tarek Barakat said he was looking forward to hearing from local business owners about their experiences and discussing some of the challenges faced in the region.
“The Hospitality and Racing Regulatory Roadshows have been well received since our first event in 2023, and we have welcomed more than 800 participants across 12 regions in NSW, including at Broken Hill, Wagga Wagga, Coffs Harbour and Tamworth,” Mr Barakat said.
“The roadshows offer an important opportunity to hear about support services the NSW Government is offering to help businesses grow and thrive, as well as to bring people in the industry together to discuss issues, make connections and learn from each other.
“We are keen to hear from stakeholders about their experiences and provide support where we can.”
The Central Coast has a growing and diverse range of entertainment and dining venues that cater to both locals and a large influx of visitors each year.
There are 20 venues in the region taking advantage of the NSW Government’s Vibrancy Reforms that offer an 80 per cent reduction in annual liquor license fees and the ability to stay open later when businesses host live music and entertainment.
One of the tools available to help businesses is the Hospitality Concierge. It is a ‘one stop shop’ for hospitality businesses to find out more about the new liquor licence reforms and to help businesses benefit from new initiatives that reduce red tape and support the 24-hour economy.
The Hospitality Concierge team will be available on the day to support businesses and there will be a number of stalls for attendees to collect information and chat to staff from Licensing, the Liquor Accord, and the Office of Responsible Gambling.
