Changes to the ClubGRANTS Guidelines

Liquor & Gaming NSW (L&GNSW) has published revised ClubGRANTS Guidelines (Guidelines) approved by the Minister for Gaming and Racing.

The updated Guidelines will commence on 1 September 2023 in line with the beginning of the gaming machine tax year.

The revised Guidelines were drafted in consultation with ClubsNSW and the NSW Council of Social Services.

Changes introduced in the revised Guidelines aim to:

• Ensure funding decisions are driven by local priorities
• Increase transparency and oversight of ClubGRANTS expenditure and
• Streamline, simplify and clarify existing requirements of clubs

The updated Guidelines provide an interim measure to improve the ClubGRANTS scheme until the full review of the scheme has been completed. Public consultation will take place as part of the review so everyone can have their say on the scheme.
