In anticipation of ANZAC Day 2024, Liquor & Gaming NSW is taking this opportunity to remind you of the need to ensure that celebrations and events are undertaken in a safe and responsible manner.
Venues need to ensure that alcohol is served responsibly, that there are procedures in place to prevent minors from being supplied alcohol, and that any promotions offered do not encourage the rapid consumption of alcohol or irresponsible drinking more generally.

Liquor & Gaming NSW Inspectors will be out on Thursday 25 April 2024 to monitor compliance with liquor legislation and any applicable licence conditions. Inspectors will also be monitoring liquor promotions in the lead up to ANZAC Day. Permitting intoxication on a licensed premises or supplying liquor to intoxicated persons or to minors are some of the most serious offences under the Liquor Act 2007, and carry penalties of up to $11,000, 12 months’ imprisonment, or both.
