The NSW Government’s Independent Panel on Gaming Reform has agreed on a larger cashless gaming trial as the government continues to implement its gambling reforms. A range of venues in a variety of locations have been conditionally approved to participate in the trial.
Starting from the first quarter of 2024, the trial will provide insights into the use of cashless gaming to help reduce gambling harm and prevent money laundering. The Independent Panel is scheduled to submit its Gaming Reform Implementation Roadmap to the NSW Government by November 2024.
