What this form is for?

Use this form to apply for an occasional extended trading condition (OETC). If your application is approved, the condition will be added to your licence and it:

  • will reduce your annual liquor licence high risk loading fee.
  • you can only trade past either midnight or 1:30am on a maximum of 12 occasions over any 12 month period.

Who can apply?

You can apply for this condition if your licensed premises is currently permitted to trade after midnight (whether or not liquor is being sold or supplied in accordance with the authorisation).

More information

  • If you already have an OETC on your licence you do not need to reapply for one.
  • You can have the OETC condition taken off your licence at any time if your circumstances change. Your annual fee will be adjusted accordingly. To vary your existing OETC you will need to complete the Change liquor licence condition form (AM0125) PDF, 1078.96 KB.
  • If information is missing, processing this form will be delayed and the application may be refused.
  • After submitting your application, you will be sent an email confirmation with a copy of your application. This will be sent to the email you provided on the form.
  • If you do not receive an email confirmation, your application may not have been submitted. Please contact us to check.

Key dates

  • Apply by 28 February 2025 to reduce your 2025 fee.
  • If you apply after 28 February your application will be assessed to reduce your fee for next year in 2026.

Condition 85

Apply for this condition if you would like to limit your regular trading hours up to midnight. If you apply for this option, your annual liquor licence trading hours risk loading fee will be $0. If this application is granted the Secretary of the Customer Service will impose the following condition on the licence under section 54 of the Liquor Act 2007: Liquor must not be sold or supplied after midnight in accordance with an extended trading authorisation on more than 12 occasions within any 12 month period. At least 14 days before each occasion the following persons or bodies must be notified: (a) the local police, (b) the local consent authority, (c) the Secretary.

Note: This condition does not limit or prevent extended trading during the following periods: 1. Between midnight and 2:00am on 1 January each year, and 2. During any period when the hotel or club would otherwise be authorised to sell and supply liquor in accordance with section 13 of the Liquor Act 2007.

Condition 87

This is for a hotel or club liquor licence with extended trading authorisation and would like to limit your regular trading hours up to 1:30am. If you apply for this option, your annual liquor licence trading hours risk loading fee will be $3,203. If this application is granted the Secretary of the Customer Service will impose the following condition on the licence under section 54 of the Liquor Act 2007: Liquor must not be sold or supplied after 1:30am in accordance with an extended trading authorisation on more than 12 occasions within any 12 month period. At least 14 days before each occasion the following persons or bodies must be notified: (a) the local police, (b) the local consent authority, (c) the Secretary.

Note: This condition does not limit or prevent extended trading during the following periods: - 1. Between midnight and 2:00am on 1 January each year, and 2. During any period when the hotel or club would otherwise be authorised to sell and supply liquor in accordance with section 13 of the Liquor Act 2007.

13. Please select one of the following options:

Club with unrestricted trading authorisation

Condition 89

Apply for this condition if you would like to limit your regular trading hours up to midnight. If you apply for this option, your annual liquor licence trading hours risk loading fee will be $0. If this application is granted the Secretary of the Department of Industry will impose the following condition on the licence under section 54 of the Liquor Act 2007: - Liquor must not be sold or supplied between midnight and 5:00am on more than 12 occasions within any 12 month period. At least 14 days before each occasion the following persons or bodies must be notified: (a) the local police, (b) the local consent authority, (c) the Secretary.

Note: This condition does not limit or prevent extended trading during the following periods: - 1. Between midnight and 2:00am on 1 January each year, and 2. During any period when the club would otherwise be authorised to sell and supply liquor in accordance with section 13 of the Liquor Act 2007.

Condition 91

This is for a club liquor licence with unrestricted trading authorisation and would like to limit your regular trading hours up to 1:30am. If you apply for this option, your annual liquor licence trading hours risk loading fee will be $3,203. If this application is granted the Secretary of the Department of Customer Service will impose the following condition on the licence under section 54 of the Liquor Act 2007: - Liquor must not be sold or supplied between 1:30am and 5:00am on more than 12 occasions within any 12 month period. At least 14 days before each occasion the following persons or bodies must be notified: (a) the local police, (b) the local consent authority, (c) the Secretary.

Note: This condition does not apply: - 1. Between midnight and 2:00am on 1 January each year, and 2. During any period when the club would otherwise be authorised to sell and supply liquor in accordance with section 13 of the Liquor Act 2007.

14. Please select one of the following options:

On-premises with extended trading authorisation

Condition 93

Apply for this condition if you would like to limit your regular trading hours up to midnight. If you apply for this option, your annual liquor licence trading hours risk loading fee will be $0. If this application is granted the Secretary of the Department of Customer Service will impose the following condition on the licence under section 54 of the Liquor Act 2007: - Liquor must not be sold or supplied after midnight in accordance with an extended trading authorisation on more than 12 occasions within any 12 month period. At least 14 days before each occasion the following persons or bodies must be notified: (a) the local police, (b) the local consent authority, (c) the Secretary.

Note: This condition does not limit or prevent extended trading between midnight and 2:00am on 1 January each year.

Condition 95

This is for an on-premises licence with extended trading authorisation and would like to limit your regular trading hours up to 1:30am. If you apply for this option, your annual liquor licence trading hours risk loading fee will be $3,203. If this application is granted the Secretary of the Department of Customer Service will impose the following condition on the licence under section 54 of the Liquor Act 2007: - Liquor must not be sold or supplied after 1:30 AM in accordance with an extended trading authorisation on more than 12 occasions within any 12 month period. At least 14 days before each occasion the following persons or bodies must be notified: (a) the local police, (b) the local consent authority, (c) the Secretary.

Note: This condition does not limit or prevent extended trading between midnight and 2:00 am on 1 January each year.

15. Please select one of the following options:

On-premises liquor licence for a vessel with a standard trading period (one hour before and 30 minutes after a voyage)

Condition 97

Apply for this condition if you would like to limit your regular trading hours up to midnight. If you apply for this option, your annual liquor licence trading hours risk loading fee will be $0. If this application is granted the Secretary of the Department of Customer Service will impose the following condition on the licence under section 54 of the Liquor Act 2007: - Liquor must not be sold or supplied after midnight in accordance with the standard trading period for the licence on more than 12 occasions within any 12 month period. At least 14 days before each occasion the following persons or bodies must be notified: (a) the local police, (b) the local consent authority, (c) the Secretary.

Note: This condition does not limit or prevent extended trading between midnight and 2:00am on 1 January each year.

Condition 99

Apply for this condition if would like to limit your regular trading hours up to 1:30am. If you apply for this option, your annual liquor licence trading hours risk loading fee will be $3,203. If this application is granted the Secretary of the Department of Customer Service will impose the following condition on the licence under section 54 of the Liquor Act 2007: - Liquor must not be sold between 1:30am and 5:00am in accordance with the standard trading period for the licence on more than 12 occasions within any 12 month period. At least 14 days before each occasion the following persons or bodies must be notified: (a) the local police, (b) the local consent authority, (c) the Secretary.

Note: This condition does not limit or prevent extended trading between midnight and 2:00am on 1 January each year.
